Ampcontrol announces the release of its first annual Sustainability Report to provide transparency surrounding sustainability efforts, clarifying operating emissions, while joining the call for a ‘just energy transition’.
As a private Australian company, Ampcontrol is publishing its first Sustainability Report considering key stakeholders' interests such as investors, customers, employees, suppliers, regulators, government, and local communities.
The report summarises the sustainability plan for Ampcontrol for the period of August 2023 to August 2026, with sustainability efforts backed by the commitment Ampcontrol has to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and the six priority goals Ampcontrol is focusing on to support these pillars.
“Our vision to lead the global energy revolution has sparked the development of our net zero roadmap—a comprehensive and considered action plan for reducing emissions across our operations at Ampcontrol. We recognise that to support our customers on their net zero journeys, the work needs to begin with us. We’re incredibly proud of publish our first Sustainability Report and share our commitment to ambitious net zero targets,” says Rod Henderson, Ampcontrol Managing Director & CEO.
Ampcontrol has set challenging emissions reduction targets which aim to go beyond the agreed decarbonisation pathways to limit warming to well below 2 degrees (preferably 1.5 degrees) on pre-industrial levels. The Climate Action Plan outlined in the Ampcontrol Sustainability Report is ambitious and reflects a company looking to lead by example. The Ampcontrol Sustainability Report reflects the broader commitment of Ampcontrol to positive community impacts on the journey to net zero.
