Facilities
Our workshops in the Hunter Valley NSW, and Mackay QLD, provide extensive mechanical and electrical repair and overhaul services. The newly established QLD workshops can accommodate up to 5 full equipment overhauls at any time.
We adopt a full life-cycle approach, collaborating with customers to ensure their mining equipment meets safety and efficiency standards.
Ampcontrol holds AS/NZS 3800 certification for flameproof overhaul and repair.
Spares Manufacturing
We manufacture spares to support our overhaul work and supply high-volume service exchange components such as gearboxes, cylinders, brakes, and clutches.
The ability to manufacture spares reduces supply chain impacts and gives Ampcontrol the ability to custom-make spare parts.
Machining and Fabrication
We offer comprehensive fabrication and machining services through out fully onsite, facilities in Rutherford and Mackay.
This allows us to support overhaul work directly on our site, minimising downtime and ensuring faster turn arounds.
We specialize in automated welding reclamation, wear hard facing, and repairs, including cutter head and auger repairs.

Your Ampcontrol Shuttle Car Overhaul
While alot goes into making sure your equipment is work ready, you can see below a how your shuttle car overhaul arrives to an Ampcontrol facility and 90 days later is sent out back to your site.
39 Days
Gate 1
Ampcontrol receives your overhaul, conducting audits and understanding the engineering requirements of your vehicle. It is then stripped and sandblasted.
24 Days
Gate 2
The mainframe, mechanical and electrical components are assessed and any required materials are procured and received.
53 Days
Gate 3
Fabrication of new material, major mechanical repairs, major electrical repairs and painting are conducted. Finished with assembly phase.
18 Days
Gate 4
Your shuttle car is commissioned along with customer factory acceptance testing and final testing. The vehicle undergoes final inspection, documentation and is delivered to site.
90 day turnaround
Overhaul Completed
Your Ampcontrol shuttle car overhaul is finished with an average 18 week - 90 day period from receival to dispatch.
