Ampcontrol has been inducted into the Industry Hall of Fame at the 2024 University of Newcastle Employability Awards on Wednesday 20 November 2024 for commitment to developing capability in the Hunter region, NSW.
The University of Newcastle’s annual Employability Excellence Awards is a unique opportunity to recognise the community of achievers that enable our reputation for producing life-ready graduates.

Through collaboration, Ampcontrol has been able to provide university students with meaningful placement and employment opportunities, allowing them to work with industry on real-world challenges and become graduates who are community-minded, resilient, and ready for work,” says Mikhaila Halford, Ampcontrol Workforce Solutions Manager.
Since 2019, Ampcontrol has supported 113 students from the University of Newcastle in placement opportunities across Engineering, Business, Marketing, Information Technology, and Accounting disciplines. Ampcontrol has a strong history of investing in the development of the community, especially in the field of STEM. With government and industry focus on net zero targets and renewable energy sources, Ampcontrol has seen a dramatic increase in students from the Renewable Energy Engineering discipline.

We’re passionate about developing the next generation of smart minds to challenge the future.
