Compact Containerised Substations

Our Compact Containerised Substations are a space, time and cost-effective alternative to constructing a concrete, brick and mortar substation for power distribution in the tunnelling and mining sectors.

The custom designed and built, compact substations are engineered to address space constraints, allow ease of relocation and are approved for shipping transport.

They are designed, manufactured, fully assembled, wired and operationally tested in our workshops, reducing site works and minimising delays associated with inclement weather. The compact substations include power factor correction equipment, a ring main unit, circuit breakers, switchboards and dry type transformers encased in robust enclosures with easy access to equipment. The robust enclosure allows for ease of installation and reduced site installation time.

• Switchboard – certified type tested for fault rating of 50 kA ­
• IPM relays that provide protection and control of electrical outlets supplying machinery, particularly where trailing cables are involved ­
• Cast resin dry type transformer minimising risk and eliminating the need for oil containment ­
• Voltage options: 6.6kV/1050V, 6.6kV/433V, 11kV/1050V, 11kV/433V, 22kV/1050V and 22kV/433V ­

• Ranges: 500 kVA, 750 kVA, 1000 kVA, 1500 kVA, 2000 kVA ­
• Frequency: 50Hz or 60Hz ­
• Circuit breaker fitted with highly configurable electronic protection module for short circuit, overload and earth faults ­
