Gas Detection

While we do not sell residential gas detectors, we specialise in providing gas detection solutions specifically for underground, hazardous area and industrial environments. 

Gas detectors should be serviced and calibrated every six months to one year, but this is dependent upon the type of gas detector as well as the conditions in which it is placed in a site environment. Hazardous areas or critical applications could cause more immediate wear and tear of the device, so these should be monitored more frequently for optimal functionality.  

The lifespan of a gas detector is dependent upon the type, application, and environment. For portable gas detectors, the average equipment life tends to be lower (between two to five years) due to frequency of use and exposure to harsh conditions. The lifespan for fixed gas detectors is slightly higher (between five to 10 years) as they are in continuous operation in the one location.
