With a commitment to developing career pathways for those looking to enter into a STEM based career, Ampcontrol has once again supported the Port Stephens Mayoral Academic Scholarship program.
Jayden Maidstone was awarded one of the prestigious $2,000 scholarships, sponsored by Ampcontrol, which will be used to kick start his first year of tertiary study at the University of Newcastle.
About to take on a double degree in Mechatronic and Electrical Engineering (Honours), Jayden was a graduate of Hunter River High School where he showed a passion for STEM subjects, leading to his involvement in the P-TECH program.
As an organisation with an active involvement in STEM based outreach activities, for several years Ampcontrol has proudly supported both the Port Stephens Mayoral Academic Scholarship program and P-TECH program.
Ampcontrol’s involvement with the P-TECH program provides High School students with opportunities for work placements and workshop tours across their Hunter based sites.
