Aluminium Case – Multi-Purpose AC Capacitor
This multi-purpose dry type metallised polypropylene film capacitor is housed in an aluminium case to suit a variety of AC applications. Suitable for welders, generators, power supplies, inverters, rectifiers, UPS, strobes, and a wide range of electronic circuits applications.
Electrolytic capacitors are polarised capacitors using a metal anode electrode installed in an electrolyte which is used as the cathode. An oxidised layer forms the dielectric. Since they are polarised (voltage on the positive terminal must always be greater than the voltage on the negative terminal), they may be used only in DC circuits.
Frako Power Capacitor
Power capacitors are passive electronic components that provide a static source of reactive power in electrical distribution systems. The film capacitors comprise up to three interconnected capacitor coils wound in a low-loss, metallised polypropylene film and enclosed in a cylindrical aluminium casing.
Motor Start Capacitor
A motor start capacitor alters the current to one or more windings of a single phase AC induction motor to create a rotating magnetic field. The force of the magnetic field provides sufficient torque to allow it to begin to rotate. The capacitor stays in the circuit long enough to rapidly bring the motor up to a predetermined speed then is removed from the circuit.
