Western Australian Premier the Hon. Mark McGowan chose Ampcontrol Group company, CPS National’s Perth head office and manufacturing facility to announce a $66.3m renewable energy technologies boost as part of its multi-billion dollar WA Recovery Plan. This stimulus will drive $45m worth of infrastructure investment in Western Australia’s North-West, across technologies including Standalone Power Systems and Battery Energy Storage Systems to benefit regional communities and remote Indigenous communities.

The event and announcement was also attended by the WA Treasurer the Hon. Ben Wyatt, Minister for Energy the Hon. Bill Johnston as well as Horizon Power’s Chair Samantha Tough, CEO Stephanie Unwin and CPS National’s General Manager Brent McDowall.

CPS National has been committed to providing high quality infrastructure for regional and remote communities for over 20 years and has emerged as one of Australia’s leading providers of stand-alone power systems, with complementary offerings delivering water treatment and communications infrastructure for remote areas.

CPS National’s General Manager said “It was an honour to host such an important announcement. The Government’s investment in this area, particularly amid the COVID-19 disruption, is really positive and will both improve quality of life in remote areas and support Australian manufacturer’s and supply chains such as CPS National who manufacture this equipment in our Perth facility.”
