Ampcontrol co-founder and Company Director Peter Cockbain has been awarded Member of the Order of Australia for significant services to electrical engineering.
Peter received the Queen’s Birthday honour for his significant contribution to the mining and energy sectors and professional organisations.
Peter’s diverse career experiences range from electrical fitter to electrical engineer to business cofounder, innovator and industry leader.
Peter’s modesty and ambition has influenced his approach to leadership, he is a passionate believer in team work and strongly advocates in the need for mature, competent people to mentor younger workers.
“I am proud to have received the Australia Medal, but I see this as an opportunity to acknowledge all the people who have contributed to it,” Peter said.
“This is not about me – it is everybody I have worked with.”
Ampcontrol joins with the Australian engineering community in congratulating Peter Cockbain AM on this prestigious honour.
