Greg Sedgwick B.Comm, M.Comm, FAICD
Chairman
Greg was appointed as Chairman of the Ampcontrol Board in October 2018. Greg has over 35 years’ experience in the building materials, industrial and healthcare industries across Australia, Asia and Europe.
Greg was the CEO of ASX listed Crane Group for 7 years from 2004, leaving Crane Group in 2011 after successfully agreeing a takeover by another major building products company. Prior to that, Greg spent 21 years with BOC Group. His most recent roles included serving as Group Director of Business Development based in London and as Managing Director of BOC South Pacific based in Sydney.
Since 2011, Greg has held various senior roles in private equity. Greg currently serves as the Chairman of NextGen Clubs and as Director of the Royal Institute of Deaf and Blind Children.
Greg is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Marketing) as well as a Master of Commerce (Business Planning) from the University of New South Wales.
David Scammell B.Sc.Agr, MBA
Non-Executive Director
David was appointed as a non-executive director of the Ampcontrol Board in August 2016.
David is the Managing Director of Pitt Capital Partners, a wholly owned subsidiary of Australia’s oldest listed investment house, Washington H. Soul Pattinson & Company, who are 100% shareholders in the Ampcontrol Group.
David is a Director of a number of unlisted companies where Washington H. Soul Pattinson & Company or Pitt Capital Partners has an equity interest.
David commenced with Pitt Capital Partners in 2004 and has extensive corporate advisory experience across a number of sectors including mining and telecommunications. Prior to joining Pitt Capital Partners, David worked for two venture capital funded entities.
David holds a Master of Business Administration from the Australian Graduate School of Management and a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from the University of Sydney.
Rod Henderson MBA, FAIM, MAICD,
Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer
Rod began his career, undertaking an electrical apprenticeship and then being selected to undertake an Engineering Traineeship.
His first stint with Ampcontrol was from 1991 to 1995 where he worked in our technology business. Rod returned in 1999 to our technology business and led a number of product releases and eventually the Tech business Operations. He went on to hold the role of Group Manager for Electronics and Chief Operation Officer of Australian Operations. In June 2014, Rod was appointed as Ampcontrol’s Chief Executive Officer, and Managing Director in December 2015.
Rod has complete responsibility for all Ampcontrol Group operations including strategic direction, overall profitability, group structure, risk management and growth of the business. He’s also leading Ampcontrol to diversify its business capabilities to secure future success.
Rod has a Master of Business Administration, Electrical Engineering Certificate, is a Companion (CompIEAust) and Engineering Executive (EngExec) of Engineers Australia, Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management (FAIM) and a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directions (AICD).
Stacey Sleeman
Finance Director and Chief Financial Officer
Stacey joined Ampcontrol in 2023, bringing more than 20 years’ experience of corporate finance, operational performance, business improvement, and senior leadership in resources, industrial manufacturing, and renewable energy.
During her career, Stacey has held senior financial roles with Anglo American Coal, PanAust, Deloitte, and PricewaterhouseCoopers. Stacey came to Ampcontrol from Tomago Aluminium where she led all commercial functions at Tomago Aluminium and was directly responsible for the Tomago Aluminium Energy Strategy.
Stacey is a Chartered Account and a member of the NSW Renewable Energy Sector Board. Stacey is the first female member of the Ampcontrol Board of Directors.
Jaime Pinto CA
Non-Executive Director
Jaime was appointed as a non-executive director of the Ampcontrol Board in June 2022.
Jaime is the EGM Finance – Private Investments for Washington H. Soul Pattinson, partnering with Pitt Capital Partners and the finance teams of significant private investee companies to help grow their business.
Jaime has experience partnering with operational management in organisations of varying size and complexity, including small private businesses, large national groups, and ASX listed entities.
Jaime started his career working in the business advisory divisions of Chartered Accounting firms, gaining exposure to a wide variety of businesses in various industries.
Dr Glenn Platt PHD
Non-Executive Director
Glenn was appointed as a non-executive director of the Ampcontrol Board in June 2022.
Glenn is currently chair of the Ampcontrol Innovation Committee and Executive Director of Strategy and Innovation at Emergent Group.
Glenn is an entrepreneur and leader in the energy technology space, and a prominent figure in Australia’s energy transition. Glenn’s efforts in engineering innovation and business have led to new technologies, new companies, and major new insights guiding billions of dollars of investment.
Glenn is a graduate of Harvard Business School, holds a PhD and electrical engineering degrees, and has roles at multiple universities. Glenn is a licensed electrician, and has spun out several businesses working with solar, batteries, and clean technologies.
Glenn is a Vincent Fairfax Fellow, and a recipient of the Australian Financial Review Young Executive of the Year Award.
