Beyond Zero Emissions: Building Australia’s Clean Industrial Future

CompanyCollaborations

Ampcontrol is challenging the future of renewable energy manufacturing and we have collaborated with Beyond Zero Emissions (BZE) since late 2020 to highlight how we can collectively get to the future state of net zero.

We’re passionate about keeping manufacturing jobs in Australia—we have the smarts and the resources to be leaders in the global energy revolution. This is why we supported the development of Building Australia’s Clean Industrial Future Paper launched by Beyond Zero Emissions (BZE).

From Beyond Zero Emissions

Bold action to boost Australian manufacturing capabilities and grow five onshore cleantech supply chains could generate up to $215billion in revenue and create up to 53,000 additional jobs by 2035.

Make it here: building Australia's clean industrial future underscores the critical need for decisive action to best harness Australia’s abundant resources and raw minerals, and build on our innovation as the world accelerates efforts to move to net zero.

BZE CEO Heidi Lee said: “From making batteries to recycling steel, the future is already being made in Australia. We have the skills, capabilities and key technologies needed for a zero emissions economy - let’s put them to work.”

The report is a summary of five supply chain briefing papers: Solar Supply Chains, Wind Supply Chains, Battery Supply Chains, Heat Pumps Supply Chains, and Commercial Electric Vehicles Supply Chains. Ian Webster, Ampcontrol Group Engineering Manager, was involved in the development of the Battery Supply Chain Briefing Paper. We believe collaboration will lead to better innovations and solutions to complex problems.

Ampcontrol has long been a champion of the Hunter region in NSW being a renewable energy powerhouse, which you can see in our participation in Innovation Ready, and being one of 30 Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) partners supporting the Port of Newcastle Clean Energy Precinct.
