We have been recognised for our commitment to sustainability as a member of the NSW Government Sustainability Advantage initiative by receiving a bronze plaque at the Sustainability Advantage Recognition Gala on Monday 24 July 2023 in the Yallamundi Rooms at the Sydney Opera House.
Hon. Penny Sharpe MLC, NSW Minister for Climate Change, Minister for Energy, Minister for the Environment and Minister for Heritage awarded Ampcontrol with a Bronze plaque at the gala to recognise our commitment and progress with Sustainability Advantage over the past two years through their commitment to achieving United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and Net Zero targets, as well as working to support their customers and suppliers in achieving their goals.
“Through a staged plan of installing solar panels on our workshops and site-specific energy efficient projects such as the installation of LED lighting, we have been able to reduce operational emissions by 28% from 2020 and have set a target of a 60% reduction by 2030. Ampcontrol is now also a member of the Clean Energy Council, supporting the mission to accelerate Australia’s transition to renewable energy,” says Simon Coleman, Ampcontrol General Manager – HSEQ.
Rod Henderson, Ampcontrol Managing Director & CEO accepted the award on behalf of Ampcontrol at the ceremony.
