Developing the next generation of engineers is something we feel passionate about.
For another year, Ampcontrol is supporting the Port Stephens Mayoral Academic Scholarship program.
Scholarship recipients were announced on Thursday 16 February 2023 during a ceremony at The GreenHouse Eatery, Medowie NSW.
Callan Astin, a Bachelor of Mechanical & Mechatronics Engineering (Honours) student, received the Ampcontrol scholarship.
Ampcontrol Supporting STEM Careers
Being part of the program allows Ampcontrol to support students who have chosen a career in STEM with their academic journey.
Mikhaila Halford, Capability Development Manager at Ampcontrol said the program gives organisations an opportunity to connect with talented students who align with their chosen area of study.
“Supporting students to choose a career in STEM is integral to the future growth of our organisation,” said Mikhaila.
“With a focus on early identification of talented people, we look to support recipients with outreach activities in school and university and provide opportunities for Work Integrated Learning along with other pathways into Ampcontrol.”
Ampcontrol supports student placements and graduate pathways in various areas of engineering through site tours, industrial placements and graduate roles.
In 2023, 20 talented students shared in a scholarship pool of $40,000 to support their academic journey. A full list of the scholarship winners can be found HERE.
