Fabrication and Machining

Ampcontrol is experienced in the delivery of high quality engineered and fabricated enclosures and components including switchrooms, flameproof enclosures, repetitious components and other complex metal work.

Ampcontrol’s fabrication and machining teams are focussed on providing total solutions for customers and have extensive experience in application design and manufacture of large scale and intricate metal fabrication projects.

Our fabrication and machining facilities are quality endorsed to ISO9001, AS/NZS4801, ISO14004 and AS/ANZ18001. In addition our fabrication team members all have welder qualifications to AS/NZS1554.1

We support the production of both large scale and intricate fabrication projects with a range of large capacity, computer controlled milling and laser cutting machines, lathes, cranes and radial arm drilling machines.

We have one of the largest, high specification milling machines in New South Wales. This milling machine has the capability to provide conventional horizontal boring and milling for equipment up to 16 tonne. Customer projects can be undertaken in one setup for five sides, reducing setup times and providing fast delivery.

Facilities

Ampcontrol has two dedicated workshops specialising in manufacturing, machining and fabrication in Tomago, part of the Hunter Valley, NSW.

• Fabrication workshop featuring two bays with 1,500m² of floor space and three x 20T overhead cranes
• Machining workshop featuring two bays with 1,600m² of floor space and two x 16T overhead cranes and two x 1T cranes

In addition we have our Queensland fabrication and machining facility in Mackay Qld.
