Developing skills for the jobs of the future

Ampcontrol are proud supporters of P-Tech, a pilot program supporting schools to help young people develop the skills they need for the jobs of the future.

Partnering with Hunter River High School, Ampcontrol provides P-Tech students with ongoing support to engage with the world of work and a better understanding of the relevance of their learning to jobs and post school pathways through mentoring and work experience placements.

The partnership between Hunter River High School students and Ampcontrol enable innovative approaches to the way learning is delivered and a continuity of support that encourages students to achieve post-school STEM qualifications.

In addition to industry partnerships, schools in the P-Tech program partner with higher education providers to deliver elements of the P-Tech learning program to help students achieve a diploma, advanced diploma or associated degree.

Teachers from Hunter River High School toured Ampcontrol recently to better understand the engineering and manufacturing process as well as the work experience opportunities of offer for P-Tech students; while representatives from Ampcontrol also attended the school to provide students with an overview of the program and Ampcontrol.
