Ampcontrol welcome Australian Prime Minister to Tomago facility

Company

Ampcontrol was thrilled to host a visit from The Hon Scott Morrison MP, Prime Minister of Australia at our Tomago NSW facilities this morning to learn more about our innovative products that support the transition to a low carbon economy. Mr Morrison had the opportunity to meet some of our talented people who work within the business to design and manufacture advanced electrical and technology solutions. The Prime Minister inspected Solar Cube, a stand-alone power system, DRIFTEX, an electric vehicle for underground mines and Gilghi, a fully transportable containerised water treatment unit that transforms source water into clean, safe drinking water for regional and remote communities. Mr Morrison has announced that the Hunter Region is crucial to Australia’s plan to reach net-zero emissions by 2050. The Prime Minister has committed to supporting the Hunter’s proud mining and industrial base while also pursuing new opportunities through technology. The government is investing $20 billion in low emissions technology, including clean hydrogen, battery storage and smarter ways to measure soil carbon. "Newcastle and the Hunter will be a key part of the $1.2 billion we're investing in Australia's hydrogen industry," Mr Morrison said. As Australia’s largest privately-owned electrical engineering company, Ampcontrol is leading the way in the research and development and advanced global manufacturing of renewable energy solutions to forge the Hunter Region forward as a powerhouse for innovation.
